Leonard McCoy | Star Trek AOS

I. Welcome Dinner
After twelve courses of food, Bones is rightly stuffed. He'd had a bad feeling about going on this cruise, but Jim had convinced him that he ought to go. He'd won something, after all. How often did that happen? Besides, with the Enterprise out of commission for repairs at Yorktown, there really wasn't much for a CMO to do.

After checking out the rooms and stuffing himself at the welcome dinner, even a cynic like Bones can agree that the cruise isn't half bad. He leans back in his chair, feeling uncomfortable after eating so much, as he watches the crew perform.

"This dinner has been going on for two hours," he says quietly. "Bringing out the dancers after putting all of us into a food coma doesn't seem like a good idea."

II. Defying Gravity/Captain's Broadcast
He was wrong. This cruise is all bad. Very bad. Bones had floated into the hallway and held on for dear life as the ship went into warp. Great. He'd had enough problems with space/time during his tenure with Starfleet. This is not what he wanted in a vacation.

When they arrive at their destination, gravity is restored and everyone sinks to the ground. Bones lands with a muffled curse and immediately takes stock of the situation. He seems to be unhurt, but he can't speak for anyone else who maybe hasn't experienced warp before.

"Ok," he announces to the hallway. "Is anyone hurt? I'm a doctor."

A doctor without his tools, but he'll do the best he can. Anything more serious than a scrape or a sprain and he's probably going to have to try to get the person to the med bay.
